Historic Ghazni religious school to reopen soon

GHAZNI CITY (PANinfo-icon): The historic religious school "Noor-ul-Madaris" would soon be reopened, six years after it was closed for its alleged use by militants in Andher district of southern Ghazni province, officials said on Thursday.

Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada, the director of religious schools, Hussaini Mubarak Azizi and provincial council speaker, Hameedullah Nawroz, welcomed the reopening of the 80-year-old religious institution during a joint press conference in Ghazni city on Thursday.

Problems of hundreds of local students going to other areas for educationinfo-icon would be resolved with the reopening of the school, the governor remarked.

Akbarzada called the reopening a good news for the country and assured the institution authorities of all possible facilities.

Founded in Mustawafi village, the Noorul Madaris religious school was previously run by its founder Ibrahim Mujadadi with the help of area people.

The Madrassainfo-icon is being reopened with support from religious scholars and tribal elders, director of the Madrassas, Hussani Mubarak Azizi, said.  

Provincial council speaker Hameedullah Nawroz termed the Madrassa as a university and congratulated all religious scholars over the proposed reopening.
